Inland, I have a thread over at VOGONS (see link) http://vogons.zetafleet.com/viewtopic.php?t=23179
where I was asking for help (bypassing the CD speed test) and no one was able to help me, and just now I told these people that you (I didn't mention your name - I just said "someone on another gaming forum") helped me get the game running, and now they're asking "how did you do it"? What do I tell them (I'd like to help them out - share the info if I'm allowed to. May I, please?)

It's a little hard for me to comprehend how you got the game running, Inland - could you explain it please and I'll try to put your explaination into my own words?

Simple - I just installed the game under Virtual PC (Running DOS). After that I exported the installation directories (\LEGACY\ERI) to the Host and pointed DOSBox to it.

I did have to setup the CD-ROM drive under DOSBox, but that was it.

I'll see if I can get around the hang in DOSBox to eliminate the VPC step.

Here's the game under DOSBox -

Inland, what screenshot utility did you use to capture this screenshot - when I tried using XnView to do gameplay screenshot captures on emergency room under DOSbox, I got this kind of very grainy and off-color, "corrupted-looking" screenshots?

My screenshot

Here is a thread that I posted in the JA tech section regarding this issue: http://justadventure.com/yabb/YaBB.pl?num=1257644813

The game in this thread is Star Trek A Final Unity under DOSbox.

If this screenshot utility that you used to capture your screenshot of Emergency Room under DOSbox is a 100 % free program (as is XnView), could you please give me a link so I can d/l this screenshot capture utility?
