Description

First Person

Note: This game is also known as Mysterious Journey 1, Schizm: Mysterious Journey, and Mysterious Journey: Schizm

"The world of Schizm is filled with clues - subtle relationships and juxtapositions that only the truly alert gamer with a propensity for note taking will be able to track. It is a world where every symbol, sound, and pattern should be recorded as a potential clue. For those who thrive on intellectual challenge, it is a welcome step back into the golden age of adventure gaming. For the average "get it over quick" player, the use of a walkthrough is suggested.

"Both Avalon L.K. and Detalion are to be congratulated for producing one of the finest adventures of 2001. On a number of levels, the game is simply brilliant and belongs on the "must play" list for any serious adventurer."

"The graphics...are a feast for the starved eyes of an adventure gamer. Wild, exotic scenery is bursting with colors so vibrant as to burn an image on your retinas. Unrealistic landscapes and scenery is showcased so magnificently that floating, living islands and enormous Zorkian dams seem as natural in this environment as is a lush tree or a babbling brook in ours. But there are aquatic creatures skimming across the oceans of this world unlike any you have ever seen and we are only ever given a tantalizingly short view.

"Sounds are magnified by the absence of life. Footsteps ring hollowly on metal walkways as loudly as a gong and rushing water passes through your speakers like a tsunami. It is an extraordinary aural experience especially for adventure gamers unused to such goodies."
