Turn-based strategy RPG now available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.
Red Wasp Design, a small indie team, announced today that after a year of development, Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land is now available for the iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch. This turn-based strategy RPG pulls inspiration from cult horror writer H.P. Lovecraft and was developed in cooperation with Chaosium, publishers of the role-playing game Call of Cthulhu. Customers can go on iTunes to download the universal iOS app, which is available in both SD and HD and has graphics optimized for each of those systems. The price of the app comes in at $4.99.
The game's designer, Tomas Rawlings said, “We've put a vast amount of our time, energy and ideas into this game over the last year. It's been a long journey for us because we want to get it right. We're not a huge studio, but I hope that fellow gamers will appreciate what we've achieved with The Wasted Land.”
In Call of Cthulhu: The Wasted Land, players control a team of up six investigators that are charged with uncovering a deadly inhuman conspiracy, all taking place during World War One. This team must venture out to No Man's Land to solve the mystery of this conspiracy, all the while building up their skills and gaining weapons and equipment to take on the horrors that threaten to throw the world into darkness.
