December 3, 2012 - Kickstarter project The Last Door offers the player a horror adventure game created with an unusual mix of pixel art and orchestral music. A new twist on the classic adventure genre using an episodic formula specially designed for the web.

A new playable teaser has been released to be played for free at www.TheLastDoor.com. A short experience to convey players the mood of the game and a start point for the plot. A mysterious letter from an old friend asking for help reveals that something horrible might be happening in a South England town during the late 19th century.

“Amazing job! Simply loved it!!!” is what a backer said about the teaser; another said the project has a “a charming mystery.” Also, the music has gained a lot of players' attention, so a new pledge tier was created offering the game soundtrack as a reward.

The pixel art style is designed to make players use their imagination to create their own detailed vision. “Big pixels allow us to use iconic representations of concepts and ideas already present in horror mythology and feels more like reading a classic horror novel,” says Enrique Cabeza, art director of The Last Door.

The project at Kickstarter  (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1042570429/the-last-door-episodic-horror-adventure) has already reached 50% of its funding goal in the first 9 days of the campaign. People can back the project until December 21st to have the opportunity to get early access to all future chapters or even to become a game character.
