Montreuil (France), August 14, 2012. French publisher Anuman Interactive has announced a new global partnership deal with French development studio Lexis Numérique for a PC adaptation of “Red Johnson’s Chronicles” Parts 1 and 2 (“Red Johnson’s Chronicles: One Against All”).

Over the last 20 years, development studio Lexis Numérique has forged a reputation for the quality of its adventure and educational games with titles like “Missing Since January”, aka “In Memoriam”, “eXperience 112” and “Uncle Ernest”. It is currently working on a project called “Alt-Minds”, a crossmedia adventure game developed jointly with Orange. Lexis Numérique has also recently developed a new adventure game franchise by the name of “Red Johnson’s Chronicles”. In the saga’s first title, players take the part of a rebellious private dick hunting for a killer who prowls the streets of Metropolis, a gloomy city rife with hate and crime. Since its release in April 2011 for the Playstation Network (PSN) and Xbox Live Arcade (XBLA) platforms, it has won acclaim from gamers and media alike.

As part of a deal with Lexis Numérique, Anuman Interactive is now adapting the first and second titles in “Red Johnson’s Chronicles” for PC (the second part will be available shortly on PSN and XBLA). Paris-based studio Koalabs has been entrusted with the job. The deal also gives Anuman Interactive exclusive worldwide distribution rights to DVD and download versions of the game.

Anuman Interactive’s Publishing Director Alain Milly says: “We are very happy with our partnership deal with Lexis Numérique and the confidence they have shown us in agreeing to let us adapt “Red Johnson’s Chronicles” for PC. Lexis Numérique has a reputation for the quality and popularity of its adventure games and we are delighted to be able to add “Red Johnson’s Chronicles” to our Microïds portfolio (which brings together all our adventure games).”

José Sanchis, Managing Director and co-founder of Lexis Numérique, adds: “We chose to strike a deal with Anuman Interactive for “Red Johnson’s Chronicles” 1 and 2 on PC, because we have every confidence in their historic know-how which now goes back 12 years. Gamers all over the world will be able to enjoy the excellent Red Johnson titles on PC.”

The first series for PC is scheduled for release late September 2012. It will be followed soon after by the second part, which is due out in November 2012.
