The creative team known for the No One Lives Forever series and the original F.E.A.R. has launched Betrayer, a first-person action-adventure game that transports the player from England to the New World in 1604 to join a struggling colony on the coast of Virginia.
But the colony has been abandoned. There is evidence of a catastrophe. Only ghosts and mysteries remain.
You must piece together the story of what occurred here as you're hunted by corrupted Conquistadors and ravening shadows. You'll explore a vast, untamed wilderness in search of clues as to what befell the doomed settlement.
“Betrayer is the kind of game we’ve been wanting to make ever since we shipped FEAR,” says the game’s designer and writer, Craig Hubbard. “You can explore large, open environments in search of clues and loot. You can tackle challenges aggressively or stealthily. You can outfit yourself with the equipment that best suits your play style. It’s a very player-driven experience.”
