The release of Microids' adventure games catalog to iOS in 2010 resulted in over 1.5 million downloads. According to Microids, this meant the games had successfully found their public.
It also gave adventure game fans the opportunity to rediscover such sagas as Syberia, Dracula, Amerzone and Atlantis through remastered versions for touch interfaces particularly adapted to adventure gaming.
Microids is now turning its attention to Android users. It will be porting its catalog on Google Play and the Amazon AppStore beginning with the first three episodes of the Dracula saga.
“In only a few years, Android has become a major operating system, acclaimed by many users and mobile manufacturers. As part of Microïds development and to meet our numerous fan requests, it became obvious for us that we should adapt our existing catalog to this OS. Therefore, we are delighted to announce to the fans the release of their favorite licenses on Android devices, as well as upcoming productions such as Syberia 3”, adds Elliot Grassiano, VP at Microïds."
The games will be released at the rate of one per week. The remaining titles in the catalog will follow shortly.
The Dracula saga kicks off with Dracula: Resurrection, which is now available on Google Play and Amazon AppStore.
