Catyph: The Kunci Experiment Intro Cinematic, Screens, Info - January 29, 2014

Catyph: The Kunci Experiment, a 1st-person sci-fi adventure set to be released by the end of 2014, is reminiscent of ASA: A Space Adventure.

Catyph has been envisaged as an experience, an interactive story based on exploration and challenging puzzles. The above video introduces the gameplay, graphics, main audio theme, and the desert environment of the first region of the game, called Kynan.

The year is 2062. You are an astronaut sent by Terra to explore the solar system and search for signs of intelligent life.

After going through some incredible events, you land on Tytaah, a moon of the planet Catyph. You quickly learn that a mechanism called the Kunci is the reason for your presence, and a person who is unknown to you asks you to get it working. You'll explore this moon and its regions to find crucial information.

The gameplay of Catyph is based on that of traditional point-and-click games such as the Myst and Rhem series. The game is being developed using Visionaire Studio, the same engine used by the Daedalic teams (Deponia).
