Those work best in Q&A, but I try:

#1 the corpses are parachuters who just happened to land next to the yacht?

#2 no clue

#3 the stranger shot her from the backseat? this is very vague...

#4 he fell out of a plane? ok, forget that

#5 they are siamese twins

4&5 are correct! But how come he fell out of a plane, frozen?

See above....
#2 - did the man die of natural causes? shot? electrocuted? crushed? fell from great height? poisoned? asphyxiated?
I guess asphyxiated, then.

On the right track. Why did they jump/fall? And why couldn't they get up?

He didn't need to. The temperatures where many planes fly are about 40-50 Celsius below zero. That's quite cold.

About #1 - maybe the ship was on fire?

Why don't you go ask him? Maybe he wanted to go to the lavatory and opened the wrong door...

No.

Was there a rampaging tiger on board?

#1 maybe they went swimming and forgot to lower a ladder

and the plane one maybe they were stowaways hiding in the undercarriage I've heard about that happening in real life.

Did we ever find the answer to this one?

Nope, it's still unanswered. Another clue:

A few more word puzzles:

1) What tree comes in twos?

2) What word is pronounced well?

3) What, by losing one eye, has nothing left but a nose?

4) It has five letters. It has six when you take two away. What is it?

Now where's Poe's "Rationale of Verse" when you need it...

Oh, and "sixty" was the correct answer as well.
