All extremely good overall despite pointing out a very few drawbacks?-

The characters like Jonas, Stina and "bearded man" were not very involved and there were fewer locations than some of the previous games. It's only a guess, maybe they were in a hurry to get the game out? They usually release a lot earlier than mid-march.

Interesting and thoughtful opinions.
I agree with you that it is a pity that 3 of the favourite characters in the Carol Reed mysteries only appear once each and for very short periods.
Particularly for those who have played all or even several of the previous 8 games of this series it is probably disappointing that 3 of their favourites have such small roles - Stina, Mr. Bigge, and (heartthrob) Jonas will probably be more pronounced in Carol Reed 10.
However, I am afraid that you are not correct in writing that there are less locations than in previous games. For example, the number of locations in the previous game was 26 whereas in this game it is 28.
It probably SEEMS that there are less locations since in this game more of those which are 'finished' have been removed in order to make things clearer and less cluttered.
Incidentally most of the locations in Cold Case Summer are visited more than once and in fact many are visited 4 or even 5 times.
IMHO this game seems to me to be longer than most of the previous ones - of course this is purely a personal and subjective feeling.
The story is extremely intricate melding two different themes. One is the absolutely true story of the sensational murder of Sweden's Prime Minister Olof Palme not so long ago in 1986 including the two real-life characters involved. The other theme is entirely fictional a sort of treasure hunt by some very dubious individuals who are actually also real persons with their names and actions altered !
llooking for a possible cache of diamonds.
The synthesis of true life and fiction in this game is IMO worthy of Jane Jensen -

I didn't know that about the locations. Interesting, though I wish they didn't remove the 'finished' locations. Still, another great game with an intriguing story.
Oh, and I think you've got it wrong about the characters. Mr. Bigge is the heartthrob, not Jonas

Yes indeed. If memory serves correctly I believe the ladies got a real treat in East Side Story.

I don't know whether you 2 guys are pulling my leg or are deadly serious ??

If the former, you were a tad late simnce you posted a couple of days AFTER April Fools Day !
If however the latter, I well remember MANY ladies (particularly from GameBoomers) "swooning" at the appearance of the handsome JONAS, hardly for the formidable Mr. Bigge.
It's possible that those posts are still available in the GB archives - I am certainly not going to search, and I doubt that you will either !
