Status : Offline | AFAIK there was more or less universal approval of the first game by Silvio& Gey Savarese namely "A quiet weekend on Capri".
Not so for their second and much more complex game "Anacapri - The Dream".
Just Adventure gave it a terribly critical review by a veteran reviewer who gave it a rating of C-/D+ and even suggested that this was too good for the game.
On the other hand a veteran member of both JA and another popular forum gave it a good review and a rating of A- - she is IMHO both extremely computer knowledgeable and very level headed with her posts always objective rather than subjective.
To make matters worse a different veteran member of JA strongly defended the extremely negative JA review mentioned above. My memory is not too good due to age and the fact that this took place a few years ago. However I think I remember that I defended the game since I thought that it was overall extremely good and certainly worth the A- rating. If I am not mistaken I got chewed off quite severely by the above mentioned member for my honest opinion.
Sure there were faults in the game - but how many games are there that contain NO faults? But it had so many brilliant aspects to it that overcame its shortcomings IMO .
After this Silvio and Gey got in touch with me and I believe I helped them with some alpha testing of a future game of theirs. This time it was based in Naples which I believe is their home town. AFAIK this game was never completed but maybe aspects of it or maybe even all of it have been incorporated into their third game ???
I have deliberately not mentioned any names since I do not want to get involved in any personal flaming. - But I imagine that both the aforementioned members still post on JA although not all that frequently I think ?

I may be completely wrong but AFAIK, despite its virtues, there are MANY more popular games on the Kickstarter list and hence I wonder whether this one will reach its target ???

I thought Anacapri was brilliant, much improved on the first game "Quiet Weekend at Capri". Anacapri was what I wanted "Quiet Weekend" to be, a much more focused effort with less wandering, less confusing maze of areas where you have no idea what you are supposed to be doing, and better puzzles combined with a fantastic storyline (one of the best ever in adventure games).
If the 3rd game is anything like Anacapri then it will be fantastic.

On the box there is a quote from a JA+ reviewer.. ah the old days...

Guess they've never heard of Norrköping.

I'm guessing what they mean is that the bus driver in Capri is actually a real bus driver, and so on. In Norrköping the girl playing Stina doesn't really work in a bar and tattoo-guy isn't really a janitor.
