Beta testing starting today.

The game is in very good shape and hopefully the testing will take less than a fortnight at the most ! Hence CCS should be ready for official release well before the end of February 2013.

This 9th Carol Reed Mystery promises to be the best since it is based on a real life murder.

*****  Near midnight 28-2-1986 the Swedish Prime Minister Olof Palme was shot in the back and killed. The assassin and motive(s) are still unclear and the case has never been properly solved !

This classical point’n’click type Quest-Adventure presents a possible solution to the mystery which is exciting, plausible, maybe possible, but fictional of the truth !!

I had forgotten all about these games. Really enjoyed the ones played a few years back. Need to add them to my list!

Sounds fishy...

Carol Reed is among my all time fav indie adventures, been following her since Remedy. 9th year in a row now!

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Carol is looking forward to a long lazy summer vacation.

A man phones and demands to meet her in order for her to help him.

She agrees and goes to his suggested meeting place.

But he refuses to reveal or identify himself and so Carol leaves without any details or progress.

The next morning the police phone and inform Carol that he’s been murdered.

Thus begins the twisted tale leading to the assassination of Olof Palme L   L   L

The sensational 1986 murder of Premier Olof Palme is an accurate historical fact. Also the deceased petty criminal Christer Pettersson (aka Crille) who ‘participates’ considerably in the game is basically historically accurate -  he was the person who was tried in 1988 and found guilty of the crime but released  on appeal 4 months later for lack of evidence and in fact was probably completely innocent!

The rest of the long narrative is fictional (although partly based on some real-life characters with altered names) and has been extremely skillfully woven into the whodunit  suspense thriller.

Mikael Nyqvist (Sweden) who has made all 9 Carol Reed games  almost completely alone [size= large](photography, programming, texts, plots, narratives, dialogs, English, music, absolutely brilliant built in dynamic hint system, etc.) with just a tiny bit of purely voluntary outside help,    produces, amongst other things,  story lines brilliantly intertwining facts & history & fiction – incidentally rivaling or even surpassing Jane Jensen’s real/fictional plots. ?!?

I  THINK  THAT  CCS  MAY  BE  HIS   BEST  TO  DATE !!
