So I had to copy my edits, delete post, and re-reply in order to post my edits.
 
EDIT 3 - tried submitting previous edit with a post copy/delete/repost and it worked - what could have gone wrong when I tried to submit my edit before the previous edit?

@ ABZ - what seems to happen randomly is that clicking "Submit Post" has no effect, and you need to shut down and re-start your browser and try again. When this happens I "copy" the contents of my post before closing out, then "paste" it back in the new session.

 

This was a problem from last year I thought had been resolved, but seems to be back...

 

Let the hibernation continue...
