When we were younger, NO New Year's Eve went by without a slap up party !
I used to dance ny legs off and always got **completely** sloshed !!!
Ah - "Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day --- tralala" ! (Mary Hopkins)

:}
It was a smash hit several decades ago and deservedly so. Both the tunes and the lyrics were excellent and the song was translated into many languages.
I guess your father must be (I hope he is still alive and well) of the same generation as myself - (I was born towards the end of January 1925).

Status : Offline | My Dad was much older than my mother (15 years) so he was only slightly younger than you, Len. He died suddenly the day after my younger Son's birthday two years ago yesterday. My Dad gave me many memories, though!
