I've just received the following from Tommy Yune of Presto Studios:

We're thankful for the past coverage you provided for us for the The Journeyman Project series. However, recent versions of Mac OS X and Windows had at one point broken backwards compatibility with nearly the entire classic game series.

Anyway, we wanted to give you advance notice that we've had very motivated programmers quietly porting the remake of the first game in the series, The Journeyman Project: Pegasus Prime, to run in 64-bit on modern Intel Macs, with Windows to follow. It's not just a port of the hard-to-find 1997 CD-ROM release, but rather a substantial update of the unreleased DVD-ROM version.

Stay tuned...

Great news! I loved the Journeyman Project series, and as a PC user, I really regretted not getting to play Pegasus Prime as it apparently improved on the original Journeyman Project in many ways. Looking forward to it!

Here's the latest...

Sunday (6 January 2013) was the 20th anniversary of the debut of the first Journeyman Project!

Presto Studios has posted a teaser for the upcoming release of Pegasus Prime for Mac OS X and Windows. It looks pretty good!
