Karla (and Support/Tad) - I'm going to school to learn how to become a computer tech (w/ networking skills, etc) and I'd like to know if I would be allowed to help any other members here in the JA Tech forum the same way Jenny100 and InlandAZ used to do it back when Randy owned the site (to tell the truth, I really liked the way InlandAZ and Jenny100 used to come here and help the members here without them having to open up Help Desk Tickets, to me the old way it used to be was like more comfortable, and relaxing and the help given by Jenny100 and InlandAZ was open for everyone else to see (the non-members who might be lurking but not joining) that might have the same technicial issues as the people that Jenny100 and InlandAZ had helped had so that the lurkers, too can be helped with their issues, and to me, this Help Desk Ticket stuff is sort of a hassle for me I really would not want to have to bother with it, but that's just me), I wouldn't know if any of the other members may feel this way about the Help Desk Ticket system as I do, but if any of them do, I'd be more than happy to help any other members here with any issues that I've had experience with the same way InlandAZ and Jenny100 did it back when Randy owned the site so - may I please help any members here the way Jenny100 and InlandAZ did back when Randy owned the site?

Thanks in advance.

@AlienBZ
As far as I'm concerned, you're free to help other members who post tech problems here as often as you want. In fact, that's the purpose of this subforum: gamers helping gamers.

On the other hand, the purpose of JA's Helpdesk is to provide both technical assistance with games purchased from JA and technical support when folks have problems with the website. These are things members are unable to do for each other.

I'm not as involved in the forums as I once was and I've never been part of the Helpdesk, so I'll let others on staff know about your post in case anyone has anything to add.

Good luck with your computer studies!
