You are awesome on so many levels. I told my kids about how you decorate the garden and scare the bejesus out of kids by suddenly coming to life and they roared their heads off. Wait until I tell them you have your own fog machine as well....

Had to work this evening ( got my dream part time job working at the craft store ) and Hubby and oldest son Nick passed out candy. They said they had ALOT of kids, maybe close to 100. Nick started getting into it even though it was just the 2 of them and so ended up putting out one of the lights, put in his creepy contacts in and got out one of his masks. So I guess they had a decent time. BUT had I been here you better believe I would have put the fog machine out there along with a few other things. Not anywhere near as much as we normally did but I would done something more.
Im glad though they seemed to have had a good time. sorry I had to miss it.

I'm sure it was some influence on my younger son who was doing a "haunted mausoleum" in our front yard for the past 3 years. We didn't get to have it this year but not due to storms. He had a mandatory theatre rehearsel. We were all upset. The local news channel even came by this year hoping to film the mausoleum. One of the grandpa's in the neighborhood told me last year how great it was that teenagers were putting their efforts in something like this rather than causing trouble. Too bad it couldn't happen and same for yours.
We can be heroes, just for one day.

You know it becomes a tradition and when we move to a new house I'll try to start another one and hopefully there will be some neighborhood kids to recruit. I know that my boys and the other neighbor friends that were part of it all these years will still try to ome over and bhelp0 out, but as they are adults now they have other obligations, its not as easy and as they marry and have their own families Im sure they will want to do it at their own homes.
Caroline, Im just not that big on Thanksgiving, Dont get me wrong I love all the eating it involves but its just always alot of work.
I'll be glad when the day comes I can possibly just bring a side to one of my sons house's. lol!
As for Halloween, I think you would have a blast. Its the one night of the year you can be whatever/whoever you want to be. And scaring some of the kids is so funny sometimes you would laugh yourself silly, and possibloy pee your pants. Lol!

Hey, maybe Anthony does Thanksgiving? And then there's Mark who lives down the road from Disneyworld, and Terry who can see rockets being launched (always wanted to do that).
Slowly, I'm building my dream holiday.
