Forever Lost is a point’n'click adventure game for all iOS devices coming sometime in September/October. We have just submitted it to Apple and will be releasing it as soon as we can.

Following are some screenshots and you can get some more info and other images on our website here -http://www.glitchgames.co.uk/app/forever-lost-episode-1/ - we are working on a trailer which should also be up on the site soon.

If you have any questions please just ask away, very happy to answer any you have!

I really hope there will be, I have a Nexus 7 myself so would love to see it on there. We just want to get the iOS version out first and then work on the Android version after.

Also if you're interested, we just got a preview up on PocketGamer - http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/Forever+Lost/news.asp?c=45020

This looks really cool, but I'm always looking for some of the horror/thriller/mystery stuff. Liked the music for the trailer....what was it?

This is the type of adventure game that I envisioned as being perfect for the iPad when the latter was first mentioned circa Sept 2009. I have prognosticated more than once on this forum that the iPad could/should be the platform that allows a resurgence, albeit not quite at the level of the 1990s, of point and click AGs.

It hasn't happened quite as quickly as I had thought it would, but it's worth keeping in mind that -as hard to believe as it is- the iPad came out in April 2010, only 2 1/2 years ago. It's not hard to believe that changing one's programming perpective and tooling up to fit the needs of an IOS project in addition to designing a new game from the ground up would take at least that long. So I'll be looking forward to checking out Forever Lost and good luck to Glitch Games.

The future ain't what it used to be!

Glad you like it! We should have a gameplay trailer up soon too.

We bought the music online specifically for the trailer but it wasn't just the first track we found, we searched for over a day for just the right sound.

I'm REALLY glad you like the look of our game and hope it lives up to your expectations!

A lot of people have been asking if the game is 2D or 3D and I would just like to make sure it is clear, Forever Lost is a completely 2D game. The 3D scenes in the trailer were created for the game and are actually in the game, they have just been rendered out. We wanted to make the trailer interesting and more cinematic. We will be creating a gameplay specific trailer soon as well.

We really want it out as soon as possible, if we all send happy thoughts to the Apple submission people perhaps we can get what we want :-)

In the perverse world of Murphy's Law, it appears that 1st person puzzlers may be making a comeback. Unfortunately, not on my PC. I'm not a cell phone person, and I tried a tablet for a few hours before deciding it was not for me (and really too expensive just to buy for games).

I'd say that adventure gaming will be coming back in a big way soon, after the successes of both Double Fine and Revolution Software on Kickstarter, and many more. That is of course that the end products of these actually do well.

But, Colpet, was the tablet you tried an iPad? I am/was a hardcore traditional computer user (desktops & laptops). The iPad changed my computer habits from the moment I got it. Though I understand you're not necessarily prepared to get one 'just for games', let's look at iPad-based games for a moment: A fair number of older adventure games have been released for the iPad, perhaps the most noteworthy (for you & I

) being realMyst. It is absolutely astounding on the iPad. Also, there are a slew of Hidden Object games which you apparently like. One puzzle/HO type game I particularly like is the original pc game, Azada. Another thing about the iPad- the battery is better than anything I've ever come across on a laptop. You can play an AG for hours without the battery running out.

No matter how close other tablets try to come to the iPad, they can't possibly compete with the number of games, overall, for the iPad. The selection is astounding! Even so, Apple has got just about everything right when it comes to the iPad hardware itself. This includes the book-reading experience which I know you are interested in. Apple has it's own book store, but if one is an Amazon Kindle user (as I am), you can download all your Kindle books to the Kindle app on the iPad. Other reading I do on the iPad is news-related: USA Today, Time magazine (beautifully done), The Daily and so on.

But forget games for the moment: I do practically all my web-surfing on the iPad. You can't beat instant-on, instant-off. I can check on all that's going on at JA, my Yahoo Fantasy Football team, my various Chess forums and so on.

Just to get back to this thread's topic: I'm looking forward to Forever Lost because (probably repeating myself) it is the type of AG that will work well on the iPad, can be developed at a reasonable cost and which will have a captive buying demographic. It won't necessarily be just adventure game lovers who buy a game like this. Plus the price is right. Due to markedly reduced maintence costs etc., there will be no more $29-$59 games. Most will be under $20 (including realMyst at $6.99).

The iPad I tried was a Galaxy 8. Hubby bought it for me to use for books and going online, but I already have a Kobo reader.

It was also a phone and camera, neither of which I need. I tried to download my Kobo books and I needed an ap which I couldn't get since I had to register with Google. I never register for anything I'm not sure of on the internet, let alone give out my e-mail address. I tried to access my BigFish games, but they wouldn't download either.

There's only one iPad- the one from Apple. The Galaxies are nice hardware, but they don't have anywhere near the software alternatives of the iPad. You really need to go to an Apple store and try it- and it is far better to get the 10 inch (which is all there is for the iPad at the moment, though a 7in is imminent).

I too am very careful about what I sign up for and what info I give out on the internet, but the iPad is particularly safe since Apple keeps close control over what gets thru to it from the internet. It is perfectly safe to sign-up for Google and the like. Things like the BigFish games download and play reliably and effortlessly.

Now this is going to be fun. Notice the subtle clue on the floor. What can it mean? Will something happen in 4 days that I have to prevent? Or do I follow the hallway (which must be very long) for 4 days to find the next clue?

Actually, I think it's an anagram: 4DAYSTOGO which could mean:

STAY 4 GOOD ie. don't leave this building under any circumstances.

or

GOD SAYS TO 4 ie. I'm being directed to something with a 4 on it, like a room.

or

TOYS 4 A GOD ie. Look for a room that has computers, iPads, an iPhone 5 and a BMW 528 just for me.

The 4 days is when a demon we've had banned in the dungeon is prophesised to be set loose... They must be part of an evil cult hoping to remove the ban hammer and unleash woe on us all!?!?

Or it's just the release date, idk 50/50 chance that one
