Now steam has come up with something similar like kickstarter, only this time you can't invest any money yourself. You can 'vote' for a game you want to become available through steam, and more importantly to convince others to vote as well. Any developer can add their game to the list I think it's a great way for developers to know whether or not their product will sell or not, and it will allow feedback of gamers early on in the development process it's a win-win for both devs and players.

Steam Greenlight will be released August 30.
