Status : Offline | It's because it is coded to show up in a large box and if there is non-spoilery text before it, the box will show up in the next line. The 'jumping' happens because your mouse needs to be over spoiler text for it to show and that's hard because it goes straight to the next line. Erm, I hope that makes sense. It's hardly the only coding problem this forum has, but addressing the issues in the past only resulted in me being told to deal with it and adjusts my posts accordingly.
It could be simply re-coded so it doesn't show as inline-block, but a clickable button like we had before. Or a bunch of blackened-out text, although I find that kind of thing very sloppy and annoying to read.

Status : Offline | The flicker has happened for me, as well. I've been going into the source code and reading the spolier text there.
I'll try to call this issue to someone's attention.
