Leading entertainment group National Entertainment Collectibles Associations (NECA) announced today the upcoming release of Gremlins Gizmo, a point and click adventure based on the cult-classic film Gremlins. Developed by Pipeworks Software and ImaginEngine, bouth Foundation 9 studios, Gremlins Gizmo is releasing this month for the Nintendo Wii and DS.
“We have been a Gremlins licensee with Warner Bros. Consumer Products for over a decade. With the success of our product line, we were excited to partner with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and produce a Gremlins video game which is a perfect extension to the brand,” said Shannon Pratt, Director of Business Development at NECA. “Gizmo has always been such a beloved character and now kids and adults alike can bring him home as their own virtual pet in Gremlins Gizmo.”
Players in Gremlins Gizmo can interact and care for their own pet mogwai, either Gizmo himself or one of his four friends. Guide either Gizmo or one of the other mogwais through exploration and discovery games, such as retro arcade games, music games, hide and seek and more. Through the journey players can unlock new levels, environments and more mini and micro games.
Gremlins Gizmo is rated "E" for Everyone by the ESRB and will be hitting shelves this month on November 18, 2011. An exclusive gift with purchase will be available through select retailers. For more information, check out the Gremlins Gizmo website.
