Status : Offline | I believe that there have been some bugs along those lines observed by others, myself included, so I doubt that it's specific to you or Opera (indeed, I use Firefox).
However, first check that your reply hasn't indeed gone through: in at least some of these cases the reply has succeeded, with the error presumably coming up afterwards.
If the reply that you mention was this one, then it seems to have gone through. ^_^

I have to go back and click the JA forums icon. It does go through but it seems like a nuisance. :/

Status : Offline | Help is on the way, gang. We'll be getting an updated site and forums very soon. Some new features are being added as well.
I realize that the rollout of the new site hasn't exactly been the smoothest, but we were plagued by Murphy's Law during the transition. A lot of recoding is being done now, so many (if not all) of the forum problems should soon be a thing of the past.

Status : Offline | I still get not only the error message, but more and more frequent capthca's, which is really becoming irritating. You'd think that posters with over 2000 posts would be geniune members and not some bot... so why isn't the captcha popup set to only catch people with under a 100 posts or so?

Status : Offline | I get snagged by Capcha every time I visit the forums these days. Unfortuntely, I don't know what's causing it. Even if I did, I have no authority to fix it.
The best I can do is to apologize on behalf of JA and hope that things will get better soon.
