Oops! That doesn't bode well for an imminent release.

I was so excited about the prospect of a Myst-like game, I got caught away in my enthusiasm. For my next trick, I'll be anouncing GK4.

I'm all agog.

I'm playing it for a bit now and it's too bad you can't go adventuring into all those lovely scenes. Exploring is part of the adventure game. I find the interface with the objects a bit annoying (not much but enough to take you out of the game and into ...how do I do this again...kind of moves).
Anyway, I can't seem to go any further back up the ramp toward the mountains. And I'm stuck Spoiler Alerton how to remove the cloth from the tree!! ACK!. Is that why I can't go any further up the ramp? And when I want to use another object I can't get rid of the original one I used. The same one keeps popping up. I just want to go exploring and go stuff on this beautiful land.
Caroline, I just discovered on Google maps this awesome bunch of islands that are close to you and some even remind of where Riven must be. TeeHee. It's in the Polynesian Islands (Mataiva. It's adorable and it even has an airport. Have you ever been there? In the middle of these islands there are HUGE alcoves. AMAZING looking. But I bet you know all about them. They look like an underwater volcano erupted and threw up these islands. I can't imagine.
So anyway .....anyone playing this downloaded game? It's lovely I'm just having a bit of problem. I'll keep pursuing it and happy to take any hints. I do hope that it comes out as a full blown game VERY SOON. MY eyes miss these kinds of scenery and games. I'm not too keen on what's going on in the gaming world right now. I AM playing HEAVEN but .... bored with it really. I know Bah Humbug. But some of us got really spoiled with some beautiful games in the past ans I do hope they make a comeback. This one looks like a good start to me ...if I can ever go any further with it.

wonderfull environment but I agree the inventory system is way too clunky - selecting/combining things should be easy - it isn't. The whole point of point n click is to make the interface disappear through ease.
