Now this is what i call something completely different then all the other location's i've seen so far.

This location can only be unlocked during a specific quest, which is also quite difficult to obtain

It has nothing to do with "modern" trends. It's not a tattoo it's dye. It was used long throughout our history. Most commonly from Woad/indigo from plants. The picts were famous for painting their bodies iwth it.
Nords have had it in past TES games, it was in morrowind. The naked nord guy you'd run in too on one of the more famous morrowind quests for example:
http://www.uesp.net/wiki/File:MW-npc-Hlormar_Wine-Sot.jpg
It's nothing new to the series but it's a lot better done now, and actually looks like dye in teh game rather then an actual tattoo, as up close you can see little spoits where your skin shows through and things which makes it look like just dye and nothing permanent.

yes it reminded my of the shivering isles, or maybe even Uru! This place is so huge, it must be part of the main quest are something, it can't be possible they made this whole place just for some small sidequest i stumbled upon
We're not in Skyrim no more... (SPOILERS!)

Deep Thinker. Well, actually, I got one-shotted by a Giant

Ari got a nose job :B

Believe it or not, these two are dead. I killed them and they just stayed frozen like that, floating swords and all...

NOTE: If anyone finds out how to turn off HDR or Bloom or whatever it is in the game, please let me know. Forums are on fire about the horrific blinding glare sometimes.
Hey, I found bits and pieces of humor in the game! Go figure! Esbert is a funny guy, voiced by a really, really good actor...I'm going to find out who he is, but his dialogs are great.
.........It's Max Von Sydow!!!! Great job M-Sy!
Also....I wasn't paying attention and didn't realize this is the screengrab thread.
Also...please BEG the new owners to fix the home page. Holy S, is it lame.

Hehe, wait until you see the grungy faces you get to work with... sheesh..I know it's cold, but doesn't anyone EVER get to wash in Skyrim... and do you magically start getting wrinkles at age 18 already? Since I can't be 18 anymore in RL, I enjoy still being 18 in my RPG's..-no chance of theat in Skyrim, tho... I trhought this was supposed to be a fantasy RPG, but they went and made it more "realistic" (read: grungy) than Fallout 3..
And yep, not only did the Nords get facepaint in Morrowind, the Dunmer did too.
People have been wearing make-up since Cleopatra's times until the present day, anyway, so I guess it's nothing new.

I poked around Nexus and finally figured out how to extract textures so I could mod my character The rest wasn't that hard since I'd already modded The Witcher 2 this summer.
So, Ariana became even more demonic. Got her new eyes (my favourite custom set for The Sims 2, not made by me, mind you) and a scar. Scars are a bit tricky to make, so I'll have to experiment further.

I just find it personally unpleasant, so it is a matter of my opinion not a question of if it is done or not. And I do hope and am sure that they will create mods for the faces, in fact there are clean face mods out already as I have no desire to be a grungy old man when i play Skyrim. I saw that trend for "realism" approaching in the Tomb Raider series as the latest version of Lara they made her look like a homeless drug addict ....but i guess that is part of the attempt to do more and more uslesss detail and force people to upgrade their comptuers to do it. I will remain hopeful about Skyrim.

I'm having the same problem, FRAPS doesn't take all screenshots for some reason :/
Spammytime! Screenshots sized down from 1920x1080 to 1200xsomething.
A nicer look at Ariana's new eyes. Mmm, gooold <3

Deathbells are my favourite flowers ♥

Faendal got a day off, I sat down and read a good chunk of my books. Still so many to go through, though... :C

We're finally the real Golden Duo!

Found this Giant who was completely peaceful, even after I bumped into him a few times. Amazing!
Anyone else think of Syberia when they see mammoths?

the horse riding a horse is very funny. The horse scripts in Oblivon did that at times.and it was very funny,..looks like they ported over the sripts without fixing some of the problems.
that sky trip sounds like a collsion problem with that portion of the scenery.....interesitng...or maybe there is a quest that puts you up in the sky and you triggered part of it by accident. There were several quests in Oblvion that put you up in the sky.

I think the in-game screenshot (just hold Print Screen, then check MyDocuments/MyGames/Skyrim) is much better quality than Fraps.
