Bioshock Infinity jumped the shark with the silly ending. The story was very weak, but the visuals and gameplay were great.
I am big into watching the first episodes of YouTube walkthroughs, particuarly by folks like ChristopherOdd and GhostRobo. Just enough to get a real feel for the game. Metro 2033 looks interesting, but too linear. I wish the Witcher games were first-person. What a let down. Dishonored--big, big fan right here. The DLC was less exciting, but still wonderful. I am still playing Skyrim.
Take care.

It doesn't cost anything, and the actual gameitself is completely free, you aren't locked out of any gameplay or anything like some other "Free" mmo's (IE SWTOR), though it's obvious they've geared you tward wanting cash shop items (IE bank space/bags are purchasable by the cash shop only, and the bank space is only 16 slots, quite small).
However apart from that it's quite a fun game.
The main thing is the combat, it's much more of an ation focus, there's no "tab targetting" and you instead have to aim.
I'm enjoying it quite a bit, lot beter quality then most f2p games out there.
If you haven't heard of it:

I'm on the mindflayer server, lv 30 Control Wizard, name is Stiler Orion in game.
Thinking about starting an alt though already. Great WEapon Fighters seem to be the late bloomers in the game, they aren't that good lv 1-30'ish then pick up a lot accordingot most people. Control Wizard is fun, but I was itching for some melee combat.

Some of my friends are actually playing on that server. I might just take a look at the game to see what it is all about.
*edit* ugh, the download is slow. I'm not even getting 100k from their officiall website. Torrent is a bit better, but I'm still only getting 1.5-2mbit/s
*edit* I've been playing it pretty much all day, and I quite like it thus far. I'm playing a tank (which there seem to be a severe shortage of, as I seem to be able to get into skirmishes almost instantly, while other complain about wait time). Combat has a very good weight to it, I can really hear the weight behind my blows, which makes it quite satisfying, and it also feel quite active, which is a nice change of pace from most other MMOs. Let's see how fun this one is in the long run.

Had no problems with the game all day, but tonight i've got some serious lagging issues. My character not walking in a straight line and combat is a complete mess right now, i can't almost hit anything. At this moment it's completely unplayable even when playing solo

I did snatch AFnord for Torchlight 2 though, but that name did not carry over to neverwinter). I don't know if I will stick with the game, depends on if it gets repetitive later on, or if my friends decide to leave the game, but for now, I'm quite enjoying it.

Fnord, jus twait til you hit 32'ish and get into the "lair of the mad dragon."
You won't think it's too easy then! MUHAHAH! lol, that dungeon was hard as hell, especially the end battle.

If I didn't have an ammo regenerating class mod, I don't see how I would have made it. Well, on to the DLC!

In the meantime I managed to beat Overlord 2. It was basically Overlord 1, but with slightly better balance and a small amount of new things to do that you could not do in the first game. Fun though, much like Overlord 1.

The purpose of this game is letting the human populations on the planet advance as much as possible.
You get to play sessions of 30 minutes each, where you can interact with the world through 4 giants.
These 4 giants each have their own set of improvements they can make, like adding oceans, plants ,animals, minerals, etc.
At the end of each session, new gameplay features are unlocked if certain achievements are met.
New features can be new animals, plants or longer sessions.
Simple design, but very rewarding

Status : Offline | I have been playing a game called "let's build another computer - wait, why not a couple of them"... Been mainly occupied on the harware end of things since the winter - a ripping FX-8350/HD7870 based main system, and continued development to my 3 retro rigs, especially the Voodoo 5500/Win98 "Glide Rocket" which will soon be powered by a P4/2.8ghz mobo/cpu with DDR ram. That's up from the previous P3/1.4 Tualatin/SD ram based setup...
Building PC's is like an AG in many ways... lots of twists and turns..

Status : Offline | OK i am going to try the new free to play Neverwinter...who is in there and under what name? is there only one server?
any tips or tricks to know?
and is there a SP quest line or are we forced into group play? i hope not, but will be interesting to see the world and how they ahve done the development. Pretty small foot print of local files for a large game world, maybe they are runing some content on line.
I liked Overlord nice art and design, very pretty..i will have to try II Fnord thanks for your info on that.

Status : Offline | I have played an hour or so of Bioshock Infinite, and it is the most visually impressive game I have ever seen, so much so that it proves a distraction to the gameplay itself. I've spend most of that hour taking screenshots instead of playing...
I was curious enough about Neverwinter to install it, even though I have never met an MMORPG that I like. The first half-hour that is more or less a tutorial plays much like a single-player RPG, so I liked it. But as soon as I got into the city with a couple of hundred other player running around, I got bored.
