Ok, have I died or travelled trough time, or did the forum suddenly change appearance? Or did somebody put something really bad in my drink?

CoD, I think your Celtic cross is too small. Can you make it a wee bit larger so it will completely dominate my entire screen? Thanks!

It did, and for the worse I'm afraid. Can't say it looks much like a gaming site anymore.

What?

Uh oh. I just noticed the mouseover pop-up line: the green check mark, the red x, etc., and I accidently clicked the red x (which means disagree) and now markornikov has me disagreeing with what he posted.

I'm sorry, markonikov. It was way too easy to "disagree" with you. Sorry about that. I'll try to avoid that rating thing from here on. I don't like rating my friends' posts. I would rather just tell them why I agreed or disagreed or just plain threw up by what they said.

Actually, I'm terrified of being rated by the click of a mouse or some other input device.

Aha, so that's what those little icons are for ...   *scratches head*    Well, how's this:  Apparently I accidentally 'reported' my own post. I managed to get myself into hot water with the new admin - how's that for beating a "disageree"?

ROFL  Not sure what we're supposed to report on, but anyway..   I'll just look on here from the peanut gallery...  XD

Yaah, Mark if you disagree with my post I'll report you.  I now know where the button is...

Don't accept drinks from people you know. That is when things like this happens.

LOL- these new emoticons...    ..pity they load quite slow and disappear once you select one.

I wonder who Pooky is?

Is that a picture of you, Pooky?  There in the avatar window?

Apparently the + didn't survive the transfer.

I'm glad to see the site get a make-over as the old main site was a disaster. The new one is functional and a great place to start. It will take some getting used to and I hope they keep adding features and tuning it going forward.

On the plus side the site now had 100% more bagpipes.

Seems we are missing some of the old bigger threads, like the "what are you playing now" threads, etc. Guess Trav can start them back up, so we can have a . That made no sense but I wanted to use that smiley, so many new smilies to use now.

Is there more than these 3?

Drew, the most recent adventure game one was indeed one started by Andromus, but it was a more recent one than those, and it didn't have "again" in the title.

I also had one in the Other games forum - I suppose it's ok to let that one go, since Fnord started up a new one already.

However, there are a few threads in the "Other games " subforum that would really be appreciated if you could get them back; since the threads had some nice info in them that it would be nice to be able to go back on:  The one was called:  "Revenge of the Strategy Nerds" (in which a few of us kept posting news about strategy games)

Also, a thread about The Witcher.  I think it was called "The Witcher ending and super spoiler thread"  ... or something like that.  Especially those two threads and extra especially the Witcher one, has a lot of personal value for me personally, since we had had a really awesome discussion in that Witcher thread.

There are actually quite a few others too, but it would be really nice if you could get those back.

It's too small there to see much except that you look like a regular guy in a red top.

@ Drew:  It would also be very nice if you could bring back a thread in the adventure game forum called:  "Adventure Screenshot Game"  We were still posting quite regularly in that one.

Thanks, you'd be our hero if you can restore some of the missing threads.

I restored some older topics. They where not showing because the owner of the threads was deleted (on purpose or because of the forum crash i can not really tell). That is the best that i can do unfortunately.

Thanks to Mark for informing me what those tiny icons are for.  I green-ticked his post just so he'd get over his fear of being rated!

I must say I liked the previous format - I knew where everything was but the site is a business and in today's connected world, it must stay abreast of the trends to satisfy the young 'uns.  [looks for old-lady-on-a-rocking-chair smiley]   I'm sure it'll keep our brains sharp learning the new ropes.

Something I do miss from the old board are the little bits of silly text we could put under our avatars and change according to our moods.  I always loved Mark's changing description of his hairstyle and personality.

How do we change our avatar and signature?  And yes, I too miss that bit of text.   I am puzzled and it's too late to be doing that to my brain.

Wow, I go away for a few days and the whole site changes! Though I like what I see so far. Very clean, fresh look all around.
