Thanks Lucien, too! We still have a few more surprises down the road... Several cool effects that will greatly enhance the atmosphere (yes, even more). And the story... Oh boy, oh boy, you're SO gonna love this

With the original trailer I was afraid you might want to make Asylum a bit too showy and graphic, but this footage suggests you are able to make the experience very dynamic visually, but at the same time only allow brief glimpses at the "mystery" stuff.

I admit that both the trailer and gameplay video are a bit "pulp" but the gameplay itself will be more low-key than that. Those that cherished Scratches for its psychological horror and the ambiguity of the story are in for a treat

I love being scared. Unfortunately, most games that are supposed to be scary either make me laugh or annoy me. Sometimes both.
I'm sooooooo looking forward to Asylum. And not just because I belong in one. [smiley=whistle.gif]

This looked very promising and disturbing, full of little details (like the bloody hand prints on doors) that seem to add up the experience. I'll have to find out more about this (in the daytime! ).

That is the main pet peeve of my adventure gaming, I just can't get into those types, they disorient me terribly. Why couldn't it have just been a free to move game?
The atmosphere and everything looks great, it' sdefinitely a game I'd check out if it was a free movement of gameplay and not stuck on rails style.

There's definitely more detail in a 2D game. Compare the latest 3D engine-based game like Crysis with a hand-painted 2D game and the latter will be more detailed. I don't really like identical floor/grass patterns, I like each pixel to be unique especially if I'm exploring a run down house. Games like Amnesia got boring toward the end because you realized you were looking at identical bookshelves cut and pasted around the game.

The game engine looks interesting... a transition I haven't seen before. Still the Myst jump to location but a blend-down of the area you're moving to.
Surprised there wasn't a scream after the URL.
Boo!
