Played in the browser (flash) - very well done and really interesting.

Be sure to SAVE your game... accidentally click and go to a different page... game progression lost...

I realize it's a freebie and all, but I felt it would have been a better overall experience if I had known a few additional background details regarding the mission.  Just a text screen or a file in the computer data base would have sufficed.

Nice find! Adventure games in a hard sci-fi setting are all too rare, and this one was surprisingly good for a freeware game, I particularly liked figuring out how the Spoiler Alertconsoles inside the alien complex worked. Neat cinematic feel to it as well. I agree a little more background would have been nice, Spoiler Alertand the lack of a faceoff at the end with the stone head fighters felt anticlimatic.

But over all I enjoyed it a lot, I hope the developer does something similar in the future.

Yea, I know what you mean.  At the point where I could interact with the stone figure that appeared after I dismantled the gravity mechanism generator I tried various tactics in attempt to get noticed by the now  transformed stone head fighter.  Spoiler AlertI had to pause and wonder why the thing wasn't even able to spot me. It seems that all the personel on the other ship had been killed. I couldn't help wondering, why spare me... :-/

Anyhow, this is a decent free game that should be added to Fnord's list.

Nature's first green is gold,&&Her hardest hue to hold.&&Her early leaf's a flower;&&But only so an hour.&&Then leaf subsides to leaf.&&So Eden sank to grief,&&So dawn goes down to day.&&Nothing gold can stay.

Deleted UserI'd venture to say around 2 hours more or less depending on how often you communicate with the commander (hint system) and in figuring out how to use the symbols correctly on the alien consoles.

Is it just me, or does the hero looks like Paul McGillian?

Just started it - pretty cool. I'm new to the whole browser game thing and quit impressed. Are there many others in the first person vein?

There are, but they tend to be the "escape from the locked room" sort that's become popular in recent years. This game, at least in my experience, is a rather rare break from the trend.

There are a few that stand out though. Check out Alantzone and its sequel Amertis if you're looking for more in that line, I haven't played them, but they seem to be standouts in that style, and have gotten good reviews from what I've read.

I played this for a little while yesterday and have been enjoying it.  He reminds me of Boston Lowe in The Dig.

The interface and the graphic are quite good, and the voice acting is nice too... Who would say...

There are actually more good sci fi on line games than most other types. I have posted about several other good ones and it does amaze how much talent there is out there. This one looks like a locked room start, which is not my favorite so i will give it a pass. Life is frustrating enough right now.
But enjoy.
