GOG has a version that plays under Windows 7 - Otherwise, yes it can be done, but it requires installing Windows 95 (or 3.1) in a virtual environment.

Myst: Masterpiece Edition $5.99

What?

Work on getting Myst supported in ScummVM is pretty far along, I think.  According to the wiki the game is completable and has only a few substantive bugs left, mostly related to video playback.

Thus, if you already have a copy of Myst and don't want to pay for a new one, you can grab a daily build of ScummVM and run Myst that way.
