As the fox said: One sees clearly only with the heart. True beauty is invisible to the eye... Anyway, about the telephone story... When you pick it up, you hear a different story every day.. what's it about? I can't understand a word...

I do think that there were some things about the main plot that were left a bit unclear though.
I think it helps to have played the Darkfall games, because some references to those games are made.

Can someone please give me some examples of plot holes in TLC. Put them in spoiler tags.

I was baiting.
I think people need to realize the difference between a plot hole and something that wasn't fully explained.
A plot hole, or plothole, is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic established by the story's plot, or constitutes a blatant omission of relevant information regarding the plot. These include such things as unlikely behaviour or actions of characters, illogical or impossible events, events happening for no apparent reason, or statements/events that contradict earlier events in the storyline.
While many stories have unanswered questions, unlikely events or chance occurrences, a plot hole is one that is essential to the story's outcome. Plot holes are usually seen as weaknesses or flaws in a story, and writers usually try to avoid them to make their stories seem as realistic as possible.
The question on whether or not TLC contains plot holes is still open in my opinion. I haven't seen any. Even then, there might be clues that no one has noticed that give a hint towards explaining things which means some of those alleged plot holes aren't plot holes at all.
The part that gets me is how people won't admit that this stuff grabs their attention and eats them up. Agustin did it in Scratches, Jonathan did it in The Lost Crown. What did they do? They didn't spell everything out, allowing for serious discussion and endless threads of people posting their theories.
You would never get this from a game that wraps things up in a tidy little bow. The clues are there, they just aren't spelled out for you like the end of an episode of Scooby-Doo. That's kept these games relevant years after their release and still talked about.
To me, the technique used in The Lost Crown was heavily influenced by the TV series Lost. Lots of interesting questions that engage the user and pull them into the game. Lots of tidbits that the viewer needs to piece together.
There is a HUGE danger though. By having so many theories out there, its going to be next to impossible to make everyone happy with a follow-up that is intended to make it all clear. As far as I'm concerned, The Lost Crown is the pinnacle, while The Last Crown is going to be inferior to it.
Think about it. The attraction is the seemingly unanswered questions. People debated Scratches like crazy and kept discussing it. Once the Directors Cut came out, discussion ceased. The DC was supposed to answer all those questions. To me, it didn't, but after that, no one was willing to keep it going.
There's a real good chance that the same thing will happen when The Last Crown comes out, much like Lost disappeared from everyone's minds when it ended. In all instances you had people feverishly hooked. Once you close it, you end up knifing through all those fans by ticking off the majority of them by not providing a satisfying ending to all the build up.
Its impossible to do.
To me, the fun and the reward is in the journey, not the destination.

Yeah. Like I'd already commented in the other thread, this is a complex game which at least provokes some thought and discussion. ...and like I said, I personally liked the actual ending to the game. Still, I would have preferred slightly more clues to the 3 questions I still have about the game, but it certainly doesn't kill the game for me. The subplots alone were rich enough to satisfy.

Let's see...I wrote "nope" in the other thread, then came over here to post this.
Should I have stopped in the middle of this post to go back to the other one see if Traveler responded???
If so, please accept my apologies. We aren't dating so you can't expect me to read your mind. :

I don't see the point of your little rant on plot holes versus unexplained bits, The Lost Crown was chock full of both anyway.

This raises more questions than it answers, although I expect the clues are all there for me .....
Does this mean Ivinia that you can read the mind of women you're dating..... or does it mean that women expect men they're dating to be able to read their minds? Either way, it seemed like someone was going to be disappointed but at least you've got the apology over and done with.
Oh, and as usual...

..... Caroline wanders off to find another thread (possibly of another game she hasn't played) to amuse herself in....

[smiley=rofl.gif] As you can see, I've learned over the years. Just say you are sorry even when you have no idea what the heck is going on.

You've got to be kidding, right? I asked a question, explained why I asked the question, and instead of answering it I get accused of going on a rant?
[smiley=crazy.gif]
Wait...
You are right.
I apologize... :
Enough of this. No point in having a discussion on anything at this rate.

Gee! er... the one and only reason I summarized here what I had said in the other thread, is for the benefit of people who don't want to click on a spoiler thread and read the contents there. Since this is supposed to be a non-spoiler thread.
I have no idea why you are being so touchy. I never suggested you should be able to read minds. Here I go agreeing with you and I get a smart clip on the ear for it...
Time to chillax, I guess.  Come to think of it, I actually hate that semi-word: chillax. ) So let's just chill out.

It was very fun and easy, and LOGICAL up to here. Stupid Saxons, and their effort to stop the afro-american Lenin from obtaining their el cheapo crown, so that he could be crowned the last king of Burkina Faso. :'( I think I'll never get past that one, plus my solutions were pretty logical... And, you don't know what picture is the start... So, all you an do actually is randomly guess.... I thought it was- Beyond The Town Beneath The Hill, Through The Fens and Inside The Eye, but noooooooooooooooooooooo.... Them Anglians and Saxonians (I know that's wrong plural) are an evilllll bunch, to whom the wonders of logical thinking were never revealed...
