Only Vvardenfell was truly ruined, though most of Morrowind was affected by the eruption, and this was roughly 200 years prior to the events in Skyrim, so it is not unreasonable that they have begun to re-settle Vvardenfell. It is probably still a rather unpleasant place to live, but the volcanic ash should have made the ground quite fertile

That volcano and those mushrooms confirm that this DLC will takes us back to Morrowind

Actually it's solstheim IIRC, not morrowind. (Where the bloodmoon expansion took place).

I have the Hearthfire and Dawnguard add-ons. I can't wait for the new Dragonborn DLC to come out. Also, they're showing some video clips for the new Elder Scrolls online game, and that'll be great because as an online thingy, it can pretty much go on forever.

Hooray!

I just got Dawnguard, from the current sale, and I plan to take the plunge back into Skyrim. As we all know, TES games are best played modded to Oblivion, so are there any "must have" mods out there? I'm not looking for mods that improves the graphics, as my computer probably won't be able to handle it, but I would not mind mods that gives me a performance increase.

Sandboxes and openworlds are awesome. Whenever i find one I absolutely refuse to let go, most of the time they're massive and have so much to offer it will take me years to figure it all out. My brother and i were with my grandfather in a pawn shop about 8 years ago and we saw morrowind GOTY for the xbox. we thought it looked kinda cool and bought it for $2. From that moment on any openworlds and sandboxes (particularly The Elder Scrolls) Had our attention. In 8 years I haven't completed the main story of Morrowind, I'm still caught up in all the side stuff (granted with an epic character so theres almost no challenge) and the 3 expansions, two of which I haven't completed either.

Skyrim is on my to do list, I haven't finished (100% complete) it yet but I feel like theres a light at the end of the tunnel for this one.

Wait a minute..- 3 expansions for Morrowind? I only knew about Bloodmoon and Tribunal?

I must try to resist the TES Online game.  Something like that can eat up your life...

why do you even bother, you know you can't resist such temptation, especially once it's free to play

Unless it turns out to be a bad copy of WOW ofcourse...
