$40 ????   The demo was very simplistic and childishly easy.  It looked great, but all games should.  $40 for a simple adventure akin to a Nancy Drew @ $20?  Ridiculous.  And it is a download, no less, with no packaging.  I'm frankly shocked. No thank you.  I'll spend $10 more on Fallout New Vegas and spend months in a game, rather than hours.

I think I'm nearing the end (just starting chapter 7). I really like this game even if it is a little too easy. It has a large gaming world, mostly inventory puzzles, nice artwork, good voice acting and good music. Lots of action but its mostly in the cut scenes...nothing you need quick reflexes for. So far I only came across one timed sequence but it was very easy. Really a fun game if you like 3rd person point & click games.

So far (couple of hours into the game) not bad. Nice backgrounds, fun story, easy puzzles, but then I like easy puzzles.
Bit too much Indiana Jonesy. Stylish though, certainly high production values. Nice moving details (moving water is done extremely good)
Loading every three minutes is a bit of a bore (Loading Data,Loading Data,Loading Data,Loading Data,Loading Data).

Overall impression: above average.
Bought it online for 19 GBP through the Deepsilver website.

to appeal to a wider audience, I should think..... I think it is quite a decent AG. In some reviews they speak of a thin storyline, but i do not agree for one. Entertaining it certainly is.

I need to know about the voices... are those by the same actors from Secret Files? In other words, are there any extremely annoying voices in the game?

Playing: Skyrim (ongoing)

Last Finished: can't recall, been too long.

I haven't played SF, but I do not find the voices in LH annoying at all. And you could say I get easily annoyed by bad voice acting. So you should be fine. But you might want to download the demo first to make sure.

I'm just being careful here because i've been traumatized by both Secret Files games so yes, I think i'm going to try the demo first

It's funny how people have so different sensibilities, but seriously, Nina's voice in the first game and the voice of the girl with Max in the Jungle scenario in the sequel did it for me.  :'(

$40 seems a little expensive for a game. I would pay max $30 for the game. $25 would be reasonable for Lost Horizon. Nancy Drew is worth only $20 at most. That would be my budget for games, if not, I will not buy as I need to money to pay for cellphone, internet etc.

This looks nice.  Has anyone else played it yet/seen it at a good price?  Since most feedback about the game seems positive, I think I'll look out and wait a bit for a good price on this. The price is bound to come down sometime...

I downloaded it at 20$. That's fair I think.

And I must say, the game gets more difficult as you get along.

I cound't agree anymore that this is an easy game.

I just finished it a few days ago. It's relatively easy and a bit too short IMO. Saying that the characters are all quite enjoyable and the voice acting is pretty good. The graphics are pretty but I would have preferred more exploration and objects to use/pick up.
The story itself is entertaining, albeit silly but in a fun kind of way.

All in all a pleasant adventure game.

Currently playing:  Dragon Age Origins,  Dishonored, The Witcher, Fallout 3, Deponia

There is a strong market for video games for kids (juveniles) and it seems to me that Lost Horizon would fill the gaming needs of kids who have graduated from Putt-Putt.  Otherwise, it beats me why the game is so simplistic.  Maybe someone simply just doesn't know the market.

I've recently starting checking out some other AG sites as well, in a quest for more info on the most recent games out there, and Lost Horizon seemed very popular on one of these sites, which prompted me into ordering the game.

Now I'm suddenly hoping that I'm not going to regret it...

I played the demo only, but I saw all I needed to.  The game looked pretty good artistically, but the gameplay and story were yawners.

Too adult for kids, too childish for adults

In other words it's 'light' which I can concur after playing the 45 minute demo. I'm not saying that I won't buy it but perhaps eventually, since to be perfectly honest there often comes a time when this is exactly what I need.

No impulse buying for now, it's apparently out of stock upstairs in the JA store.

Agree.  Heck, if there was nothing else out there, I might just buy it.  It was fun, just not challenging.
