Inferno has no plot! I don't mind movies without plots but this one was boooring. Without doubt, Suspiria is the best from Argento. BTW, the trilogy was never finished. the trilogy exists... check out my response to sir funk... and what do you mean no plot... it definately had a plot and it involved mother lachrymarum (the mother of tears)... maybe you should watch it again! (i agree it got a bit boring somewhere in the middle though)
It took me a while to find Necromantik but finally I did. It was on the back corner of a small, dark video. A rare find. Check this out: in one mind-blowing scene, the lover (the corpse) loses its... member and they replace it with... a pipe ok i MUST see that film... if i don't i haven't lived!
You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

My remark was not directed to anyone in particular. Just to anyone that doesn't understand what JAStaff1 had to do.
OK. It's early and I haven't had enough caffeine yet... "that link"?? Refresh my memory. Oh yeah, oh yeah! Now I remember.

the trilogy exists... No, Panayotis Tenebrae has nothing to do with Mother Tenebrarum, that's why it's very different from the other two. I'm positive.

Fang: Inferno is very open-ended. Will you make the third part of the trilogy?
Argento: Not immediately, but hopefully soon. It's very difficult to prepare a movie like that.
Nicolodi: We've finished the script for the third but there are a few things we are still working on to perfect the project, a couple of special effects and locations, that sort of thing.
Argento: The third part will deal with the Mother of Tears.
Fang: I wondered since Ania Pieroni (who makes a fleeting appearance as the Mother of Tears in Inferno) is killed in Tenebrae.
Argento: No, that's not meant to be a film joke or hint. It's not important to me to keep the same actress in the role. The idea is the same but perhaps the character can change her appearance, who knows?

Ah, that's what I meant. I just didn't get my words right... Anyway, the movie was hardly scary with today's measures and the effects and plot were a little laughable, but I enjoyed it all the way through. And yes, it was the original version I saw. The TV announcer was all worked up about this movie and said stuff like how lucky we were to have tuned in to see it, and he went on and on about how revolutionary it was in a lot of ways.

IIRC the first was made in the early '50s. i think it depends on the interpretation of the word zombie... giving the actual meaning, ie a dead person who's come back to life, then probably NOTLD isn't the first one... but like you said, NOTLD was the first one that introduced a zombie as we know it (and they don't always eat just brains!)

Yes, I've watched it! Yes, it was fantastic! Watched it with chocolate (the food of goddesses) and the lights off!! Was the house in Rose Red related to that house in California? The one where the lady said "spirits" told her to keep building and she kept building on to the house for the rest of her life?
