Status : Online | You can try downloading Google Earth. I have it on my flash drive and I started looking up hotels and roads and places to eat. It may help you navigate and likewise see how accurate Google Earth really is!

Status : Offline | I saw this post late so I'm not sure if you already went there, but anyway... I was born in Crete so I thought I'd give you some info.
It's a very beautiful island with some of the greatest beaches you can find. However, Heraklion (where Chersonissos is) is the ugliest of the four perfectures, the northern part (where Chersonissos is) is the ugliest place of the prefecture and Chersonissos itself is... well, let's just say there's nothing about it that is Cretan or even remotely Greek. In the summer it's a British colony with plenty of Dutch and Scandinavians. It's a place where large tourist groups are left to get piss drunk; not party-happy drunk, ugly alcohol-poisoning drunk so that makes it a rather dangerous place too. I hope you are not planning on taking a girlfriend or wife with you.
So if you didn't go there yet, my advise to you is:
1) Don't go. Go to Chania or Rethymnon instead, it's much more beautiful and safer.
2) If you do insist on going, renting a car and driving around Crete is an excellent idea; spend as much time away from Heraklion as possible. Oh and keep in mind that Cretan drivers have no respect for human life.
3) Be extra careful when in Chersonissos during night hours, and never leave a woman you're with out of site.
Oh and by the way, Shadow your post in Greek made zero sense... what on earth was the original phrase? :-?
