fr8hauler Intergalactic Janitor Posts : 20 Joined: 4 FEB 2008 Location: US Status : Offline	Need some ideas on 3rd person adventure games. Need a good story line. Puzzles must be practical and don't take a week to solve and good graphics and character movement. I'm currently playing Scratches - I know it's not third person, but it got great reviews so I thought I'd try it. So far no regrets. I have played: Syberia 1 & 2 Paradise Moment of Silence Next Life The Dig Niburu Grim Fandango - Loved that game! Journey to the Center of the Earth The Longest Journey - Didn't finish. Game crashed and wouldn't reload. I was pissed. Some day hope to find a copy that is bug free. I'm sure there are a few that I forgot. Those are the most memorable ones that come to mind.

Andromus Guild Master Posts : 5538 Joined: 6 NOV 2002 Status : Offline	I have to admit, looking over my list of third person games that I've played, I'm having trouble coming up with games that have particularly logical puzzles. Well, for starters I recommend Perry Rhodan. It's one of the best third person games I've played in recent years. Also, you might want to try the Broken Sword series as well. Start from the beginning if you do -- the first game is the best of the series. Full Throttle has a pretty good story, and not too difficult puzzles.

Gonchi Sorcerer Apprentice Posts : 337 Joined: 24 SEP 2007 Status : Online	Any particular theme in mind? I second Broken Sword, at least The Shadow of the Templars, I'm not so fond of the others. Full Throttle too, and the same would go for all other LucasArts games' you might not have played already. Not sure how far back you're willing to go, but the Gabriel Knight games are all worth looking into (the first game more so than the sequels). And I also never get tired of recommending Discworld Noir. For newer games though, I'd say Still Life.
