Pardon me if someone has already started a Paradise thread here.  I did do a search, but did not find any reviews.

I bought this game because of Benoit Sokal's name on it--found it in a bargain bin and thought "Hey!  That's the Syberia guy!"

With much excitement, I took it home--and then I couldn't play it for more than ten minutes.  The technical glitches are so severe they make gameplay impossible (for me, anyway)

The cursor hopped all over the screen like a coked-up disc-jockey--to the extent that I couldn't continue after a few mintes.

I have very little patience for techinical glitches--story weakness, I'm fine with--happens to everyone.  But tech stuff?  Ridiculous, and you lost my vote.

The first couple of screens I saw looked pretty, but I'm not going to drive myself crazy trying to hop my cursor around like a madwoman.

It's one of the worst games I've ever played. I don't know where to start. The funny thing is the panther that wanders around practically doing nothing. The liaison between the heroine and the felid is non-est. The story is lukewarm and the whole game is so irritating that when I finished it I didn't feel anything. Nada. Unfortunately until now Sokal is impervious to criticism so when a game is released with his brand I stand neuter.

Hmm.. I had a go of it the other day and found it to be a beautiful game but the puzzles seem too hard at the start, when i had to get the black dress to get access to the prince.

My mother played it and enjoyed it.

And I think the bugs are ironed out with the latest patch and I had no problems running it.

I'm a imbecile from the 1990s,yes I have a time machine as well as a computer.

This is one of the reviews I wrote for JA back in the day (it's not back up yet, and I don't know when or if it will be). The bottom line was: One of the worst adventures ever released. D-

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

I played the game just a while ago. There are two patches available, which I applied. Game run pretty solid without crashes or bugs. It's not a masterpiece but it's not garbage too (in my humble opinion). Of course there are gameplay issues but still not a totally crappy game after all.
