Who has the worst hair in an adventure game?  My pick is the heroine in Keepsake.  I forget her name but that turf of black and red coloredhair that sticks out in front of her head has got to go.  When I first saw it I thought it was a hat but after playing the game I was mistaken.

Deleted UserThis guy was always having trouble with his hair.  8-) Dean Erickson. Sorry, just the first example that came to mind. Such a great game (GK2) it truly is.

Is adventure gaming the most "adventurous" genre in terms of hairstyles?  Or is it just the genre in which hairstyles and clothing date most noticeably, because not every main character is a Space Marine in power-armour with a crew cut?

It is certainly the genre in which all female protagonists go to the same stylist - Jade from Beyond Good and Evil and the woman from Culpa Innata could be sisters, if you take away Jade's headband and green lipstick.  Grace in GK3 has kind of similar hair too.   And the police woman from Indigo Prophecy/Farhenheit - even Alyx from Half -Life 2!

The message behind most adventure games, and most games generally, seems to be that if a woman's hair is longer than shoulder length, she can't be a hero.  Except for Zoe in Dreamfall.

Of course, they can still be NPC goddesses, sorceresses, heroic figures, etc.  But not player characters.

As for Gabe... everyone would have hair trouble if their rug switched from pixellated, to FMV, to 3D rendered during their lifetime!

Von Glower had good hair.  I heard he used Canis Lupus 2000.

No. That's JRPG's, though we don't get many on the PC...

Dude.  Look no further than Laverne.  Or, alternatively, anyone participating in the human show.  Or maybe Edna's is worse.  Really, Day of the Tentacle is a cornucopia of awful hairstyles.  8-)
You can't kill someone in a studio.

It's also true.  Anime games have serious, sometimes dangerous, hair.

I'm not really sure what you mean. Her hair isn't sticking out in front there, and she looks like she's wearing a red hair band, which isn't unusual.

I am so unobservant about details like this.  The only hair I can remember at all was that the avatar in Uru didn't offer hair like mine....

The jewellry was pretty much below par as well.  And the clothes! I really wanted a boob tube and a ra ra skirt.

I agree with Camaroboy1968. The hero's hair always gave me the creeps!
