| Deleted User | I've had the sim World-creator Spore on my "to purchase" list since it was announced quite a long time ago. It's due for release around Septemberish. The main thing that has put me off to pre-ordering it, has been that EA is pulling the same copy-protection kind of tricks that they did with Mass Effect.
With the game, one creates entire worlds of your your own making, right from single-celled creatures right up to intelligent, sentient beings. You must also create the habitat that is to sustain them. The game proper: "Spore", is a proper, complex sim aimed at the adult market.
Worlds can be placed on the internet to share and exchange with other Spore players.
I'm rather looking forward to it -just a pity about EA.

May want to disable the online portion of it though. There are enough x-rated creatures out there that could seep into your kid's game. This is assuming the full game auto-downloads of course, which may change due to the content folks are uploading.

My creatures are under Quantzy.
I'll be making more, hopefully they'll get better.
What does it mean by "tags" in the info on the creatures part?

Status : Online | Thanks The tags I believe are used for searches. Think Meta searches used for webpages. In other words searching "Final Fantasy" would bring up my Mag Roader I think.
I've run into a nasty bug with this creator. Seems it randomly removes your creatures from 'My Creations'. The files are still there under My Documents\My Spore Creations\Creatures, you just have to move them out - start spore creator - exit - move them back in - start it again. They will show up under "All Creatures" though. If you edit them, they'll be re-added to your My Creations page however duplicated.
It's a work around until Maxis fixes this. I'm sure by the time the full game is out this won't be an issue.

I'm a huge Maxis fan so I've been following Spore pretty avidly, and the Creature Creator is sating my Spore craving pretty effectively until the actual game comes out. Just the trial is enough to keep me entertained for hours, and coming back for more.
