Status : Online | Sorry, I just wondered because I don't recall Full Throttle being released on DVD originally. I'm not familiar enough with Broken Sword to know if it was. If it works on Xp does that mean it includes ScummVM or Dosbox?
My question is mostly aimed at Full Throttle. The original release was a CD wasn't it?

No, neither Full Throttle nor the first two Broken Sword games were originally released on DVD (I don't think DVD drives were even commercially available when Full Throttle was first released, and only those with money to burn could afford them even when Broken Sword 2 came out) the DVD versions are re-releases.
Also note, the fact that Full Throttle comes packaged in a DVD case doesn't mean it is in a DVD disk.

Ahhhh, and I just yesterday bid on Broken Sword: SOTT on Ebay, crossing my fingers that I could get it to work on my computer I haaaate when things like this happen, I always find out a second too late.
Reminds me of a line from the song Ironic by Alanis Morisette: "It's a free ride when you've already paid". Darndarndarn.

BS2 is a reissue while 3 and 4 are the European releases. They all worked on XP though the original BS 1 needed to be used in win95 compatibility. So don't worry they should play fine. If you don't "win" you still should be able to locate them from the JA store or half dot com or amazon
