hey all

I've been trying to find the first text adventure game I played but i haven't had any luck , maybe someone here will recognize it and tell me the name.

It started of in the woods outside a tower , you are a neanderthal type man and hide up a tree from some other people who come then go down when they leave and enter the tower.

The tower has 3 floors (I think this is correct but been years since i played it) on the first floor you have to get food and water , on the second floor was something to do with a riding a horse and on the 3rd floor you need to make medicine for your sick son.

If anyone knows what game this is (or has a link
) it would really appreciate it if you could post here.

thanks

 Hi Amylisa,

That sounds like 'Edifice', by Lucian Smith. A text adventure that I started but, I'm ashamed to say, haven't finished. It was good though. Mid-90's, I think.

No probs! My pleasure. Try out Anchorhead, unless you have already. It's disturbing, but superb!

Hi, Amylisa, I hope you got that game you're after - you can try Amazon.com or ebay - they always have these good old titles there. That's where I'm currently buying all my older games from now, now that the local stores have long since stopped carrying them.

Yes. Many of these great Interactive Fiction titles are absolutely free K515. Hard copies were never released for nearly all of these. Here's a fantastic place for them; http://ifcomp.org/
