Status : Offline | I bought lots of new AG's this year ( by "new" I mean that the boxed copies of these games just became available this year in the US):
Black Mirror 3 Tales of Monkey Island Gray Matter Edna & Harvey Jolly Rover 15 Days The Next Big Thing The Rockin' Dead A New Beginning Ankh 3 (as part of the Egyptian Trilogy set)
They're all installed on my computer but I have yet to finish one :-/. It's summer here and I just don't have the time. I did take a peek at all of them, though. And I guess there's more 3rd person point & clicks due out this year so I'll have enough to keep me occupied this winter.
I don't buy download-only games. Never have, never will........Mike

Status : Offline | Okay, I have recently completed two games that really beat me up when I first starting playing adventure games. SOMI and Full Throttle. Basically when I played them a few years ago they were pretty much the first ever P&C games I had properly tried to play and my brain just laughed at me as I failed at every simple request.
Anyway completed them both within the last week (after starting from scratch of course), absolutely LOVED every second of SOMI was happy to know I hardly needed any hints (just the loose plank bit got me ).
Full throttle has amazing atmosphere and voice acting, and I loved most of the game, but got stuck in a few places and because I was desperate to finish it in one sitting I think I got lazy a couple of times and used hints. Still I wont let that sour the experience I had. (always feel guilty
I’m definitely having more fun now my brain has become used to the way of thinking demanded in these games. Still I’m a little worried I got stumped in Full Throttle more than I did in SOMI, is this understandable or am I some kind of freak?
Longest Journey or another classic LucasArts game is up next (maybe Indy Fate of Atlantis.)

Full Throttle does requires a different set of odd logic than Monkey island, so I guess some people will have huge issues with it, while others won't. I never managed to beat Secret of monkey island without some aid along the way.

Always feel like I'm harming my experience when I give in, and especially on Full Throttle which seems to be such a universally agreed upon "easy" game.
Anyway, I wont ponder over it now, definitely came away loving most of the game, I think its the first game I have ever completed in one sitting, even if it was so short that still says a lot.
Longest Journey is installed, Works well too. (Gog rules.) Will post back with my opinions. (I think this one may be more than sitting )

I was still busy checking what's new since I visited the forum yesterday. I'd missed Andromus's post about the free giveaway of Blue Madonna, for instance.

This game will be good I think because it involves all of Nancy's friends (except the Hardy Boys) and takes place in her hometown of River Heights.

Status : Offline | I've just started to play Trauma, which came with the current Humble indie bundle. An interesting game, focused on telling a story rather than challenging the player. Considering the fact that I got the main endings for 2 out of the 4 chapter plus an alternative ending in just a handful of min (each chapter has 4 endings, one which is marked as the main ending) I suspect that this game won't take more than an hour at most for those who wants to find all the endings, unless some are really well hidden.

i completed the game, all endings and photos found, in an hour and a half. There's one alternate ending in the 4th chapter that's quit hard to find in comparison to all the others. It took me half an hour to find
I'm looking forward to new games, because this guy has a lot of potential 8-)

Status : Offline | Which one are you thinking about? I managed to stumble upon all endings in that chapter. I got the "true" ending last actually.
I do hope they make any further games a bit lengthier than this. While what is in Trauma is well done, I feel that it is not enough to justify the price (well, it came with the HiB, so I did not actually pay much for it).

5€ is quite acceptable if you consider it a piece of art
