Dictionary dot com: Adventure
And... Lara's pretty easy on the eyes too
Edit -
My only suggestion is that they make more of them.

They are third-person Action/adventure games too, you should try them. I do remember other Survival Horror games apart from RE4, like Silent Hill, Parasite Eve, Clock Tower, Obscure and more.

And I hate to say it, but I like good graphics. I know some of you don’t care, but I got spoiled by playing my newest Tomb Raider game. Resident Evil graphics are not very good, but I enjoy shooting the zombies. I feel guilty shooting mercenaries In Tomb Raider, but zombies, I don’t mind shooting.
Thanks everyone. I only posted this an hour ago. Don’t any of you have day jobs?

My now-retired mom has come to the conclusion that people don't work anymore, based on all the (younger-looking) individuals she sees out and about during the day.
Although, we could ask you the same question.

I gave up "day jobs" a very long time ago shortly after college when I started a real career and stopped watching the clock. Even before then, I worked nights, weekends and holidays during school and then worked 80-hour weeks as an executive creative director over the next ten plus years. For the past decade, I 've set my own hours as a freelance consultant mostly working from a formal home office.
At this point, if I actually tried sticking to a strict 9 to 5 schedule, I'd go broke. That's because several of my biggest and best clients have interests all over the world. So I make myself available to them where ever they travel and what ever time zone they're in. I'm here to accommodate their schedule / deadlines not mine.
Cheers, Terry

Have any of you ever been AG beta testers? If yes, how were you contacted?
I have no idea where to look for beta testers. How would I go about contacting beta testers, when and if, I needed them?

The Harry Potter games are fun but simple - I enjoyed the ones I have played (the first two). I found Prince of Persia to be much too hard for me but the atmosphere was nice, what little I saw of it.
You would probably also like Tomb Raider: Legend. I only played the demo, but it was pretty fun. There were some shooting parts but they were very short and simple. Beyond Good & Evil is another fantastic game (you can get it in the JA Store). The review for it is here:

If you have a Playstation 2 or Xbox, the Fatal Frame series is really scary.
That's all I can think of at the moment.

I have no idea where to look for beta testers. How would I go about contacting beta testers, when and if, I needed them? That would depend on what kinds of games you're looking to beta-test: bigger-budget releases or independently-developed.
Sometimes they post an announcement on their site. A few have done so here on JA. I'm not sure how bigger companies recruit beta-testers. I'm a [free] member at Gamespot and will get the occasional mass e-mail about a beta-testing opportunity (but it's never for an adventure game). so sometimes it's just a matter of being in the right spot/community at the right time.
Member LenG does lots of beta-testing, so you might want to ask him.
