Ok, I think it's fairly easy, here goes.

Incidentally Bonsai-san. Your avatar looks really familiar to me... have you used it in other forums, like for example, the old QfG Sierra forums?

Yep, that's correct. I've been meaning to play it for a while now, but I need a new comp.

Pathologic is a good game, nothing out of the ordinary, but I liked it.

This one is easy

nothing out of the ordinary?
it was everything out of the ordinary!!!

You have gotten the attention of the mysterious lady. She turns to face you. Her face is devoid of any flesh. You are frozen with horror as she begins ripping your body into a bloody mess.

Sorry I didn't mean that the game was 'nothing out of the ordinary', I meant that I just didn't like it more than 'the ordinary'. I coincide with you, Pathologic IS a game out of the ordinary. Its story, its characters, music, graphics and more

In my opinion, another "out of the ordinary" game

Actually, DtD3 and DtD are completely different games. Mobygames is completely wrong about that.

I own 2 boxed copies of Dare to Dream 3 (one is a prize in the tournament) and I can assure you that scene is not in the game at all. It is, however, in the original Dare to Dream, which can be downloaded for free.

Someone else can post a shot. I have to start making next week's puzzle for the tournament...

I always thought the game was named dare to dream 3. I have a demo cd, on which the game (with the screen in question) is always referred to as dtd 3. Strange.

It is definitely somewhat of a mystery how that occurred.

I think that somewhere along the line there was a version of game 3 that included the first 2 games as a sort of bonus, making it a compilation, and people have been confusing this compilation with the real games ever since. It's the only way I can figure that this could happen.

If you look at the first screenshot at Mobygames, it even shows you being able to select which of the 3 games you want to play. The boxed version of DtD3 has no such selection screen. All you can do is read a text description of what happened in the previous two games and then play the third.

The readme file for game 1 mentions ordering games 2 and 3 of the series as well, confirming that there are indeed 3 separate volumes in the series.
