I've had this idea for awhile.  Ever wanted to experience an adventure game in real life?  I have.  Unfortionantly holodecks straight from Star Trek don't exist.  The only way I figure to do this is through an theme park whose theme would be adventure games.  The place wouldn't have rides like roller coasters, merry go arounds and ferris wheels and other things.  The park would be made only of adventure game settings with puzzles and other things seen in these games in a safe environment.
I feel that the first Myst game would be a good start.  Though there would be problems.  How would you make people complete the tasks at had for each age without causing a back up of visitors at the park wanting to enter the places as well?  There would be other problems but there's too many to list.  Of course other settings could be done like a haunted house or an ancient ruins.
My idea may sound crazy but it could work if done right. 8-)

How about puzzles inside a gigantic guitar?

I like the idea, but as much as I love Myst, I refuse to do the rocket organ puzzle in real life.  [smiley=scared.gif]

I remember someone around here (Ivinia?) got to experience something like that, where somebody set up puzzles all around a house and you moved through the house solving puzzles in each room.

Bad Day on the Midway seems a natural for this idea.

Yep, that was me.

It was quite fun. Kind of like a live action role playing game, but this was a live action Adventure Game.  It's really not hard to do. Glue some symbols on a clock with a cryptic clue for decyphering the code. You can get locked boxes pretty cheap at novelty stores. All it really takes is a good imagination and some creativity. The best part is that it can be done really cheap.

It was like a themepark were you could enter several adventure themes.

That was a rather gory one in spots, wasn't it, Sir Funk?  It would make a good fun house.

Waxworks also had some traps where you could die. That wouldn't be good for business ether..

They'll have to pay upfront.

One would wonder how much it would cost to build a fully functional Riven (minus the linking books and other impossible elements)... doubt there is enough money on the planet. It'd be quite a tourist attraction, though. Which ruins the idea of a Myst-like island.
