Sorry to hear of your bad transaction Gameaholic :-[  I've purchased from TSS a number of times.  I went directly through Rick and ordered by snail-mail.  I never had a problem recieving the games I ordered and they arrived in a timely manner.  I don't know what is going on with your order.  Can only say that I don't believe he is a fraud.

Thanks Judy, I do hope they surprise me...if the games do arrive, I'll gleefully post the news here!

Gamaholic-

Is gleeful really the right term since it will have been about 2 months since you ordered? (Wasn't it Nov 23rd or something like that?)

Yep...November 23.  But since now I expect nothing, the utter surprise of these games on my doorstep would surely cause an adrenaline rush of sorts resulting in spurt of glee!

oes it mean I'd order again from them or recommend them? Does Indiana Jones enjoy the company of snakes?

There's no doubt: coming home and finding a Priority Mail box (with an AG inside) on your doorstep is one of the great experiences of life!

Deleted UserSorry to hear that.

SInce December I've got games from R&R wholesale, Software Outlet and Playing Games Interactive -

all delivered promptly via ordinary Airmail - not Fedex (which is great too).

In fact =Playing Games Interactive delivered my games from the USA to UK in only 4 days via Airmail post!!!

That was almost as quick as fedex -
great service.

I've been very tempted by what's on offer at the TSS site - but held back aafter reading the posts here.

I did e-mail TSS once in November about the avvailability of Morpheus - and received a polite reply very quickly - but I'm not encouraged by your experience.

Earlier in this thread (Jan 1
, I gave you a link to the TSS feedback. Just in case anyone has even the remotest thought of making a TSS buy, check out the latest feedback (the first 2 pages cover the history since Jan 1
. I always give the benefit of the doubt to vendors for some of the negative feedback they get, but TSS is charting absolutely new negative feedback horizons!

SirDave...thanks for the link, very informative.  I think I will send TSS a link to this post, though something tells me it will have no effect.

I have emailed Rick at TSS and included a link to this thread.  Hope he comes around and straightens this all out.

There is something weird about that feedback page. Maybe ebay is having a weird problem or something. But I'm seeing 0 negative ratings listed at the top part of the page where it lists "past 7 days," "past month," and "past 6 mos."  But if you scroll down the page you see several bad feedbacks, just on that one page.

I'd be interested to see his response, but I would have a problem with its credibility. The good vendors have very little negative feedback overall, but over time, especially if they're doing high volume, they will accumulate some. You can tell a lot by how they respond to the negative feedback- usually it's a simple explanation of what went wrong or where the customer misunderstood the situation, but it doesn't consist of name-calling etc. The very tone of the TSS response to the feedback says a lot to me.

Jenny..that is weird.  I just checked the ebay feedback and i see all zeros now at the top. But earlier when i looked, the negative feedback was exactly equal to the positive feedback for the last 7 days, and about 1/3 was negative of the last month.

I did email a link to TSS.  I hope they choose to rectify the situation.  I love happy endings.

Well, if it helps the cause, I pledge not to buy any games from TSS until/unless you get a positive outcome.  I haven't purchased from them before, but I am getting interested in some of the games mentioned on this forum, so I will need to find a good order house.

Well...I received an email today from TSS.  They promised to reship the games to me; I'll let you guys know if and when they get here.
The email they sent is a lengthy one which makes many statements about eBay, adventure game sales and adventure game sites.
I think I'll let you see for yourself...

...ummm, perhaps not, TSS emailed me that I was committing libel by posting their email.

Sigh, I just want the games for which I paid, not a fight.

Sounds like a non-sequitur to me. I don't see how "fragmented" web sites affect customers' spending?

As a secondary note, we are not allowed to attend Just Adventure and many of the other adv sites as we have "told it the way it is" when it comes to these sites beating up on one another.

The most recent user registered at this forum is called TSS. What a strange coincidence...

Thats a direct whack of your civil rights. Who is a moderator to take away your rights under constitutional law because they dont like other sites or competitor sites?

And that is direct bullshit because all the sites are privately owned and the moderators can do whatever they please. The Constitution has nothing to do with this.

I must say that I now completely agree with SirDave's assessment of TSS.
I forgot my sig.

Well, sniff....sniff, that TSS letter just brought tears to my eyes. How could I have misjudged them. Life has been so hard. And now they're going to do away with adventure games altogether. And on top of all this, my golly, in the State of the Union address, George Bush said he was going to regulate Ebay and maybe send a bill to congress to do away with feedback! OHHHH GAWWWWD!

(Okay I embelished a little bit.) Hmm TSS's explanation brings to mind.......RAMBLING!

well, I think you now all have a taste of why TSS has been banned from almost every forum on the internet.

As for his account, it will be deleted as I will take him at his word that he will not be back.

eBay has lost 75% of its software resellers due to bad buyers. We recieve unbelievable amounts of bad credit cards, bounced checks etc.

eBay also have many businesses that are wishing of the Bush Administration and Congress to regulate the site. They are also working to put the post offices under federal control and eliminating all forms of USPS parcel mail delivery leaving UPS, FedEx, Airborne Express etc. as the only options.

eBay is well aware of the issues, I can show you software/video game sellers with over 1000 negatives scattered across 10 accounts. We could do that as well but we dont bother.

As to the "state of adventure sales". Its not good.
We see the sales and the figures here are the same. Thus we are selling what we have and we are not purchasing any other Adventure game releases, or we dont plan to.

As to shipping:
The rates are basically too high for most "eBay" people to want to pay. Incidently, its one of the reasons Bush is going after eBay, most sellers at the site are not declaring any incomes from the site and thus using the US Postal Service to defraud the IRS basically. We were told by the postal service to start using Media Mail and thats exactly what we have done with eBay. The results are slow deliverys.

TSS:

Well, one hardly knows where to start. The unanswered question still is- why do you have so much negative feedback mainly having to do with delayed or no deliveries? I understand and sympathize with the challenges vendors face, including difficult buyers, but the fact is that I've bought repeatedly from certain Ebay vendors that have little or no negative feedback and my purchases from them always turn up on time. And incidentally, they don't have a problem using and charging for Priority Mail. The premise that you use media mail because the USPS told you to is, well....surreal!

As for George Bush, I think he's a little more interested in controlling and regulating Iraq than Ebay and 'the postal services'.

Finally, I'm not sure what the comments on the alleged dire state of adventure game sales on Ebay and/or commercial sites have to do with anything. Everyone here knows that adventure games are not big sellers right now, but there are a number of smaller businesses online and on Ebay that seem to be doing rather well selling to adventure gamers.

You've had some great games offered for sale and your online site is very nice. I hope it prospers and that you continue to sell adventure games. And I hope you get some control over your shipping!

For those who weren't present last night, TSS made some very harsh and unsubstantiated posts. At first he was just stating his position and views about eBay but then his posts turned into a fierce attack against JA and Randy. You all know we never censor criticisms - in fact, we welcome it - but one thing is positive/negative criticism and another thing is a nonsensical attack such as the one we saw last night.

To make matters worse, a threatening message was then sent to one of our Forum members. We will not tolerate such harassment and ask that if you receive any emails or messages that you consider threatening or suspicious, please forward them to us and we will ensure that the proper steps are taken.
