I live in lower Manhattan (New York City) and the Staples on Broadway across from City Hall Park almost always has a good adventure on its shelves, usually for $9.99.  Funny thing, the customers are mostly office workers, and I seem to be just about the only one who goes there to buy point + click games, so I've gotten some great ones over the years.  Great deals.

If you happen to be in NYC, give it a try.  After that, walk down Broadway and hop on the Staten Island Ferry for the best (and only) FREE ride in town!

PS -- Mystery of the Mummy has some very good cutscenes!
