I know I won't be so lucky this week though...

The Butler Did It is one I wrote down as a possibility for number 10, but at 4:00 A.M. this morning, I decided not to go with it. I was way off with the other 4 I missed, but that one hurts.  Note to self: Play Zork Nemesis before the next tournament.)
Congratulations on a great week, Shany! You really did well with those. [smiley=thumbup.gif]

I want to join LK... *SLAP*
That was the sound my head makes...this was a week of bad misses... First of all: RTMI...sneaky shot Then: Simon 2 (I should have been reminded by the looks of it...totally forgot about Simon) And Obsidian: I had only one guess left and many candidates. I went for the wrong one...
Plus, the two Indie games could have been guessed, because I saw both of them just recently...argh.

This week is also tough. I recognized no. 1 and then just kept scrolling down to see if there's anything I know...

I was completely fooled by Duckman though. I thought it was some amateur game or something. I knew I had seen it before though, which annoyed me all week long. Why was I familiar with some amateur game I kept asking myself? Well, because it wasn't one... LOL!

Well, I had to do something for my come back. Hadn't been able to participate for the last 2,5 weeks due to lots of work and switching between old and new computer. What better way to get back than with a double pointer. I was kinda surprised that it happened with Duckman though. I have't played the game myself, but whenever I see a screen shot featuring low resolution graphics, I always think of Duckman! : If I'm not mistaken it featured a resolution of 320x200 when 640x480 had already been the norm for a long, long time. Of course I hadn't the same problem as Shany or Bastich: I don't have to deal with the doubt whether these shots come from indie games, I've never played one before. I don't even have enough time to keep up with commercial releases.
Oh, and I'm soooo glad I got the The Pawn shot! I think I used that one nearly EVERY week for the last three tournaments.

Thanks Lady K! You're not doing so bad yourself. Keep it up! It's players like you we need to stop Discordance from having too many double pointers.

Dogday's style could have been recognised...but...The Mistery of Castle Wildenburg? And Bastich guessed that? So it's not an amateur game, I guess? Looks crazy. Mystery of the Druids...no way I would have guessed that, I don't even remember the full shot...
This week, I think I can make guesses at 4 or 5 on first glance and one seems very familiar...we'll see about that. I don't think I will lose the position I have right now...it's my new favorite place! Too bad that Jerry isn't playing any more, motivating me to stay ahead of him. : Hold on...who is Ragfox?

Mystery of the Druids...no way I would have guessed that, I don't even remember the full shot... i'd say wildenburg is the 2nd most obscure game to appear on this tourney after imprisoned gods! now about bastich... after i got his guess i emailed him a rant that this is not possible for him to have guessed an indie, freeware (online no less) game like that, and he explained that he had just followed a link from a post in the quandary forum about it! like it wasn't enough that he can recognize 99.5% of the games, he's got luck on his side too! :
Hold on...who is Ragfox?
beats me! as opposed to the halloween tourney, where i knew everyone's aliases, here, if someone from the forum decided to use an alias, they could very well not tell me! that's what bastich did, but he couldn't resist guessing 10/10 with 100% accuracy every week, so that pretty much gave him away! i do know another forum member that plays with an alias too though!
btw, in general i cannot believe how few correct guesses there were compared to how easy this week was... i thought that this week would be a wild point grabber, but i was apparently mistaken! :

The Mystery of Castle Wilkenburg is a new one for me, but it looks like it might be fun to play. I also didn't come close with Dog Day and Wonderland.

Are you sure you got your time right? I definitely sent it about 10 minutes earlier...could have taken unusually long though for some reason.

As for Mystery at Castle Wildenburg - I should've known better and played every new freeware game advertised on the forum... this is how I got Frasse and the Peas of Kejick right.

Yeah, that one made me think of Feeble Files too! Not of Dogday though, a game I have actually played for some time. Never got very far with it though. :-/
And I can slap myself for missing Indiana Jones. ok, haven's played it yet, but how many games play in that time period and could feature a car like that? Couldn't shrug off my first idea for that pic (Laura Bow 2).
Oh, and Wonderland! Another fiasco! I actually guessed it for nr. 9! Thought about reusing for 8, but decided against it, thinking 8 was from some indie game, while 9 was actually the indie!. Triple Aaargh! :
Aya must have been amused with all this.
