Guessed MI 2, decided it probably wasn't MI 1, and thought it would be a waste of a guess and tried two different games instead. Didn't even recognize the telephone thingies from The Longest Journey either......this is shaping up to be one of the worst tournies for games missed that I've played.

lady k's last minute guess for dark side of the moon deprived discordance of another double-pointer, and kept papa closer! I thought right away that it might be Dark Side because of the fuzzy graphics and the air-lockish look to the door, but I spent most of the week trying to confirm it one way or the other. I'm glad I could keep the gap narrowed between the top two. It's more exciting that way.

You know, you have three guesses, so if you are basically sure about the picture you could always try just guessing it. :

You know, I think a lot of us did that. Hm, let's hope we don't make the same mistake as Aya will undoubtedly have some other similar pitfalls and red herrings planned for us.
Btw Aya, could it be you used that same screenshot for game ten of week 3 before? It looked sooo familiar but the name, Knight Orc, doesn't ring any bell. :-/ Or maybe I was just hopeful I recognized one of the obscure games.. :

I know I've seen that exact shot somewhere. Hm, I wonder where. Probably on one of my searches trying to identify a shot from The Pawn.
I think I use The Pawn (and a select group of other IF games) about every week, simply because I only know only a handful of those games (with that look). So expect to see it pop up many more times among my guesses (and please, please, do use it at least once. You know, like the only time I won't use it having just given up the hope that you'll ever use it. We could call it a severe case of dramatic irony. )

This week is the toughest by far...on first glance I only think that I know one of them. :-/

Uhm, no, that's still a black and white picture on my screen. That's what gave it away for me as I haven't played either of the Nick Bounty games. In matter of fact, I haven't played a single of week 4's games! Yet, I managed to guess 5, my best result so far. :
Oh, and it looks like week 5 is going to be another tough one. So far, no bells are ringing. Hope that means I haven't played any of these either, woohoo, that'll be another 5/10 at the end of the week for me!

btw, i would really want to find out discordance's methods... i find it very weird that someone who guesses "dive" doesn't guess "silver earring" or "return to zork" (or "space bar" on week 1, which would have been a double point)

This week will be a lot better, I'm quite sure of that.

A little birdie told me that Discordance was very angry for missing something so easy as The Secret of the Silver Earring and that it is the only game out of all those he has missed in the contest so far that he has played.
This information was quite difficult to come by as I don't actually speak birdie, and hence had to endure a painful three hour game of birdie "charades".
NEVER laugh at a birdie doing pantomime BTW. [shudder]

I don't have time for this anyway...psheeshhaaaaa...

It's an indie game made with adventure maker, you can find a link on the Indie developers page, I think.
I never got to that part of the game, though, got a bug and even mailing the developers didn't help.
I'm also mad at myself for not guessing Silver Earring. I was going to guess that and maybe Jack the Ripper, but didn't...
