This was my first Monkey Island game, and it is my favorite.

I thought number three was superior to the second game in the series, essentially tied with the first. So I gave it a solid 9 as one of the best comic AGs ever made.

I didn't find the last parts of the game as funny as the first, maybe it all became a little too wacky. As far as graphics and sound (music and voice acting) goes, it's one of the best cartoon adventures out there.
Therefore, I give this game an 8.

Most of the game is perfect: the graphics are great (though it's a shame it was only 256 colours), the music has a nice Carribean flavour, the puzzles are cartoony but logical, and it shows how voice acting should be. Unfortunately, once you get to Monkey Island in the last chapter it goes downhill and seems rushed.
Monkey Island 3 and Grim Fandango are LucasArts at their very best.
...not to be confused with Keira Knightley
