Does anyone remember a game called Lost Eden? The demo was really great, had a fantastic atmosphere and a highly interesting story. I bought the game, played through the beginning, only to find out that the rest of the game was some kind of stupid strategy/adventure mix that got boring real fast.

Argh, the lost potential! They could've created one of the most original fantasy games of all time, and instead they turned it into that ... thing.

Hey Jonas

Yea I remember it.  It had dinosaurs right?  How was it strategeryious or strategiumial or strategical?  I don't think I've ever played a strategy/Adventure.  Oh, Project Nomands is kind of like that..kind of....

Yes, it had dinos.

It was really, really stupid. You had to find gold and give it to certain races so that they would fight the baddies, which moved in real time, and you had to find objects and give them to other races so that they would build fortresses ... and all of that would be nice, if it was an adventure game. What a missed opportunity.

I haven't played this game though I do have it.

I read the review on JA+ and it got only a C+ rating, but I was still interested in getting it.   The manual does say that it is an "adventure/strategy" game.  Too bad you didn't like it.   :-*

The sad thing is that the first part of the game is so great, so much fun ... I really loved it, and was quite disappointed when the rest of the game turned out to be a piece of junk.

Wasnt' that typical of a lot of Cryo games though?  They always started great and then would either get real strange or totally change their scope.

Remember the Dragon Lore games?  Fantastic graphics but horrible gameplay.
ragon Lore 2 had a horrible, unforgivable maze towards the beginning of the game  and Dragon Lore 1 had very little gameplay, but oh those graphics were years ahead of their time and still look great even today.

Hey Randy,

I remember Dragon Lore in the stores.  I looked at the back of the box and my eyes fell out and got stuck in the game rack.  THe graphics looked miraculous.  I didn't buy the game when it came out because my system couldn't handle it and I didn't have any money. But  I just recently found Dragon Lore at a computer show for a buck along with Journeyman 2.  I was happy.
